Darius Quarles’ first visions and thoughts began in a small town known as Louisa,Virginia. He recalls playing outside and studying the clouds and the trees and how they combined to form certain lines throughout his mind. Once inside he began to transfer those visions onto pieces of paper, just small sketches that he did to pass the time. At night he would dream about all his sights and as he got older, those dreams turned into reality for the whole world to see through his paintings.
What began as a hobby just to pass the time has now evolved into a profession. Mr. Quarles is well known throughout the Triangle as a renowned artist. His paintings can be found in several medical offices in the area as well as people’s residences from here to California. He contributes his success to hard work, determination and persistence as well as a supportive family.
Darius now resides in Durham, NC with his wife Chastity and their four children, Noah, Kenai, Jonah and Lyric.

I then used their color relationships such as, Complementary, Split Complementary, Diads, Tetrad and Triads to complete the clouds, grass and trees. I used each color on the color wheel to complete the flower in the center frame. Pretty simple just a little tedious, but worth the outcome.
