Welcome to guilt free parenting in a child centered world.

Put It On Your Therapy List! (Guilt-Free Parenting In A Child-Centered World)
"Put It On Your Therapy List" is a self-help book that inspires parents to act with courage and confidence as the experts on their children, whatever their personal (and clearly non-abusive) childrearing beliefs and choices may be. The book is divided into two parts: an inspirational section written in a conversational tone, and a self-exploration guide/action planner. A wonderful gift for family and friends seeking to maintain or regain their parenting confidence.

What is a good enough parent?

Sybil Smith-Gray in Dr. Gray's Blog
Tuesday 17 of January, 2006
How do you know if you are a good enough parent? Well, if you are a parent who is concerned enough to even ask yourself the question then trust me, chances are you're good enough. Good enough parents ask themselves if they are raising their children well, but, they don't beat themselves up about the mistakes that they make. Good enough parents are loving, caring, and kind. They offer direction, guidance, and support. They also set firm limits. They make the unpopular decisions. They stand up for what they believe is right in raising their children. They don't take the easy way out. Good enough parents are not perfect and they don't try to be. When they make mistakes, they try to correct them. At the very least, they try not to make the same mistake over and over again. When good enough parents feel they are being stretched to the limit with barely enough time, barely enough money, and barely enough patience; they take comfort in knowing that love--is more than enough.
