Brochure FAQ

Brochures are essentially coverless books. The process for publishing a brochure is the same as publishing a standard "covered" book, except there is no cover step in the publishing wizard.

Lulu offers two trim sizes for brochures: 8.5" x 11" (1-20 pages) and 6.5" x 9" (1-16 pages).

For brochures with 1-2 pages, the printed product is a single sheet of paper with printing on one or both sides. For brochures with more than 2 pages, the printed product is saddle stitched. All saddle-stitched brochures must have a page count divisible by 4. If they do not, the printer adds enough blank pages to the back of your brochure to make its page count divisible by 4.

What types of binding are available for brochures?

  • Single sheet: A single sheet of paper with printing on one or both sides
  • Saddle stitch: A stapled booklet

Can I choose black & white printing for my brochure?

No, only full color printing is available for brochures. You may, however, upload black & white images and text if you do not want your brochure to be printed in color. There will be no discount for uploading a black & white file instead of a color one.
