Ordering FAQ
To purchase a product, content or service, click the >Add to Cart< (or >Add Services to Cart<) button any time you find it near the item you want.
Your country of origin determines the currency used. You can change this default by choosing your preferred currency from the drop down menu on the Shopping Cart page or on the My Account page under the My Lulu tab. You can also change the currency and country through the drop down lists located at the bottom of most of the pages in the site.
If you click on a title, you see a product detail page that provides available formats and prices. For example, a creator may decide to offer a book in both print and download formats. Select the >Add to Cart< button next to the version you want to buy.
The service detail page provides a description of the service being offered. Make sure you carefully read the complete description of a service before buying it. If you have questions about a specific service, contact that service provider directly via the "Email this provider" link at the top of the service detail page.
Note:Due to a high volume of fraudulent orders, we are no longer able to accept orders from Nigeria or Ghana. We apologize for any inconvenience. We do not ship or deal with countries with which the United States has economic sanctions.

Why doesn't the Download button seem to be working?
When downloading large files using a dialup connection, the process may appear to stall. In addition, the Download button causes the file to load in your browser window — you must take the additional step of saving it onto your computer using your browser's File, Save command.
An alternative to directly clicking the Download button is as follows.
- Right-click the Download button. (Control + click for Macs)
- From the menu, select Save Target/Link As.
- Navigate to the directory where you want to save the file.
- Click OK.
The dialog box displays the download progress and an estimate of the time remaining.

I am buying things—what are Thank You Notes?
Publishers of the content you buy may have decided to express appreciation to anyone who purchases their work, as well as provide contact information, by directing Lulu to send a Thank You Note. Lulu sends these notes automatically to the email address you provided to Lulu. Your information, however, is hidden from the publisher—including your email address. You decide whether to respond to the Thank You Note and reveal your contact information.
You do not have to accept Thank You Notes. Indicate your preference in the Email Notification section of your Account Preferences. Find this section in the My Account area of the My Lulu tab. You must log into your account before you can modify these options.

If you decide you would like to receive Thank You Notes in the future, return to that page and recheck the box.

How do I rate and/or review an item?
Be familiar with the publication—watch the DVD, listen to the CD, read the book— before you rate it. This ensures that the ratings system provides sound input to all Lulu users, including potential buyers and the publisher of a work.
Review a work
- Find the Reviews section at the bottom of a product detail page. Click the "Post a review" link, enter a subject, and write your opinion about the work.
- Click the >Post Review< button.
- Click the >Back to Content< button to return to the product detail page.
Rate a work
- The star rating system displays under the price of an item.
- Click on the stars to select the number of stars you want to give to the item, from 1 star (worst) to 6 stars (best). The yellow-outlined stars turn solid yellow once they recognize your action.
- You may change your rating, but it will replace the previous choice so that it count as one vote. After the page refreshes, the product detail page and the item listing show the updated rating in blue stars, along with an indication of the total number of voters.
Some creators disable rating and reviews for their items, so ratings and reviews are not available for all items on Lulu. For more details, see the Review Posting Guidelines.
