About the Author
Chad Minter has a Bachelors of Science degree in Art Marketing from Georgia College & State University.
He has had a lifelong obsession with venomous reptiles. He has worked for a pet shop, veterinary clinic, wild animal park, and serpentarium. He has literally worked with everything from Aardvarks to Zebras, but his true passion has been with venomous snakes.
He is a former member of the American Society of Icthyologists and Herpetologists, and Former Vice President of the Southeastern Hot Herp Society, Inc., and has authored articles for several publications on safe handling, husbandry, and breeding of venomous reptiles, served on the staff of www.venmousreptiles.org, and appeared in Reptiles Magazine.
He has provided consulting services for the University of Georgia, Boy Scouts of America, Reptile World Serpentarium, Hotlanta Reptiles, U.S. Fish & Wildlife, U.S. Forestry Service, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, The Georgia Herp Atlas Project, General Coffee Gopher Tortoise Survey, Sandy Creek Nature Center, and Chattahoochee Nature Center.
Mr. Minter currently makes his living as a graphic artist, maintains a small collection of Southeastern native venomous snakes, and is active in the herpetological community. He spends most of his spare time finding and photographing wildlife in its native habitat.
