Hello!
I recently joined Lulu, and I was wondering if anyone here has actually made any money from their works. Has anyone tried any of the advertising tools? Just curious. Thanks. |

Not yet over here, but I just got started. Haven't tried to use the ad tools yet, but I'm still at the beginning stages here. I just came here looking for others that are into comics to chat with. I imagine that their tools will be of some assistance, but I have been trying to think of other avenues as well. Joining groups, all sorts of things. Good luck, Steve. I'm just glad that there are avenues like Lulu for us in existence. Before I found out about Lulu, I didn't think I had a dog's chance. Ha! |

| I'm glad I'm not the only one I been looking for a way to publish and this seems to be the only way, but at the same time there is no way of telling how welll people do with this program. |

I have been pursuing a large number of options--while attempting to keep the amount of money I spend low or zero. So far the outcome has been fairly small. I have used the social network scene to post my URLs. I have used my webcomic site to post same. I have set up several free websites (had to buy domains of course...) that link. I Put links where-ever possible, and still, hits are low and buys are low...er.
Brick and mortar are the best deal, as book signings, library meets, conventions (Drunkduck Webcomics let DDer set up and show for free at their tables at Comic Conventions) always tend to attract a few buyers. It's hard to put your face out there, but it's the only real way, or so I've found. I guess I publish my work for sheer love of the game. Its cool to know I've contributed something--however small--to the world at large. That is pretty cool for me. |
