Topic guidelines: Please read before posting here.
This topic is reserved for members of the Australian Authors Group only.
It is limited to one entry per member store.
It is intended to show in one place: Who we are and what we produce.
The topic should not be seen as a discussion forum, where one would add
a comment or response.
Please post something along these lines:
My Name, My Store, My Location: My City
Biography: I have been writing since time began, etc etc.
Book ID1, Book title 1, this genre
Book ID2, Book title 2, that genre
Review request: Book title 1, Book ID 1 (with link to it)
----------------------------------------------
With a 'Review request' we can indicate to each other the works we would like
feedback on. Please offer as a minimum sufficient content as 'free preview'.
You can always edit your original post and update it. This is NOT
the place to promote your book. Thank you for respecting this.
Some 'bios' may well be a whole book including
pictures. So why not create such a book and then link it to your post
when it is completed. If we all stick to 6x9" (Novel) size, and use
'Biography: MyName' as a title, we may find a way in time to combine
all bios into a group book (free to download, print at cost). In such a
book you would have no content restrictions. If we are consistent in
the format (6x9) and the wording of the title (Biography:etc) we will
be able to search for it and combine it in the future.
How to create your post:
At the top and bottom of this page is a button named 'Post reply', click either one.
This will open up a box, similar to an email message. Write your content and click
submit. Click 'Submit' and your post is finished.
Formatting a post, explained in more detail here: http://www.lulu.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=343069#343069
How to edit your post:
At any time you, and only you can edit your own posts. Click the little edit box on the
top right. The 'edit button' will only show up in your posts. Modify your content
and 'Submit' will save it, reflecting your changes.
Please use the topic 'Publicity and Promotions' for questions relating
to this topic.
The 'Author's Name', shown in the left column, is also the link to the author's store.
If you 'right click' on the name that store will open in a new window.
If you are a Reader, know this, the writer tries to reach you in every word that's written.
Let them know what the words meant to you. Each store gives you the opportunity to
communicate with an Author that is still alive.Thank you.

Peter was born in Canberra Australia, in 1967 and currently lives in Melbourne. He grew up in the north-western suburbs of Sydney. He started writing the Keegan James’ adventure series while living and working in the US. Prior to moving to the Bay Area, he spent two months living and working in the Czech Republic, a fantastic and culturally diverse experience.
His first career has been in the computer industry, however his passion for writing is second only to his passion for photography and travel. He started writing ten years ago and has previously published a collection of poetry titled ‘Soul Survival’ - self-published in paperback in Australia with a limited edition print run.

"how to create your own website in 24 hours" is my first publication.
It was never planned as a publication!
Originally qualifying as a chartered accountant, I managed the IT departments for a number of businesses and implemented many technology development projects. I migrated to Australia from South Africa in 1996 and was fortunate enough to find a great business partner. We established a management consultancy practise specialising in the areas of finance and IT. We tried several times to build our own interactive websites, but without significant success, and the process wasn’t easy. We knew what we wanted, and what we believed most small businesses wanted and needed, but we just couldn’t “figure it out”.
In July 2005, we came across the DotNetNuke Content Management System. After a fair amount of research (and trial and error), we managed to get a website up and running. Realising that this software had a number of things going for it, we started implementing these websites for clients.
Although DotNetNuke makes it easy for website owners to quickly edit and add text, images, pages and other content to their website. The one downside was that the documentation for the system was focused on technical issues and made significant assumptions about the skill level of the user. We started with a few pages of notes to help clients building their new websites. As clients asked more questions the “notes” were revised and grew in to a 90 page publication.
And that's how it happened!
On a personal note, swimming, travel, exploring technology and science and being a mad keen “green and gold” rugby union supporter are my interests. Going for walks on Manly esplanade with my wife is a favourite pastime.

What next? – all the pages in the manual have been published to our website www.websuburb.com.au and are being continually revised and appended, so I’m sure that we will publish a 2nd edition soon. |

Biography: I’m a mother of three boys, a former molecular genetics technician and Cub Scout Leader, and a present private English and science tutor to school children. After becoming very concerned at the declining standards in Australian school education, I home-schooled my third child for several years, as I realised I could do a much better job than was being done at school. I wrote my son a grammar book, which was later published by Pascal Press, along with another spelling and grammar book which they asked me to write. The list shown below includes most of my other books. I love science, history and travel, as well as the hobby of writing.
