From The Creator To : " Under Cover Of His Whispering Wings"
Arnost Vevoda
An excerpt from my above mentioned book -
Dear Reader,
In my quest for self-expression, I was guided initially by
supportive friends to write informally - based on my pains and
aspirations. Since I have a history of uttering jargon of an inept
buffoon, it was a God-send to pour my pains and yearnings on
paper. What’s more, it has opened a new door of communication
and ultimately has blossomed into improved verbal skills as well.
If not for my writings, humour and foremost my family and faith,
I would have stumbled into life’s journey - transpiring into an
unbearable drudge.
Although the bulk of my writings delve into a Christian
viewpoint, I regretfully grasp that not every reader is open to
spiritual concepts and is much less prone to be preached to.
Unlike some of my peers, I am quite comfortable to touch base
with humour and “you are not alone “concepts. Even to capture
a grimace reversed into a grin is in itself may be personally satisfying.
On a more sober side, I am blessed with a wife and two children
of whom will be always be true jewels in my crown. Invariably I am
indebted to my family, in my many nights of poetic “brainstorming“
obstructing me from my domestic duties.
In life as in poetry, as that well known theory contends, (we all have
our “relatives“- don’t we?) Mutually, when two or more people view
an object from the same vantage point, they will perceive the same
subject unindentically.
Translating this viewpoint into “our poetic journey, “ I contend that
every individual has a contribution to share. In the same way I believe
a well placed smile, a brotherly hug or the offering of a warm hand
to a faltering man has its virtue.
That to me is 'poetry in motion.'
God Bless, and may you too enjoy your “poetic journey.”
