Take, Eat: 59 Lord's Supper Meditations
One of the most important and least appreciated experiences of the Bible believing church is the celebration of the Lord's Supper. For some, it has become a rather empty ritual practiced primarily from a sense of duty. For others a flippancy has crept in the experience that borders upon blasphemy of this sacred service. The Lord's Supper was intended to be neither a ritual, nor a burden. It was instituted to be a blessing. The blessing can best be realized by serious and significant meditation upon its sublime symbolism prior to partaking of the elements. It is hoped that pastor and parishioner alike can realize that each observance of the Lord's Table is unique, important, and spiritually uplifting.

The Ten Commandments
Is there a standard of conduct incumbent upon mankind, saved and lost alike? Are the moral principles of the Old Testament relevant today? Is the debate of recent times about posting the Ten Commandments in public places a legitimate moral and ethical issue for our times? An understanding of the Ten Commandments in the light of the New Testament is as relevant and important as ever.

The Divine Enterprise of Missions
Though written one hundred years ago, this classic volume on the still important subject of missions is a must read. Pierson carefully addresses the critical issues of missions philosophy with scriptural candor and solid exposition. Further, he draws together historical threads of the Philadelphian
period of church history to present a thrilling
record of what God did in this wonderful age that
defined modern missions. No student of missions
can afford to miss the information or Pierson's
understanding of the events and their impact
upon the cause of Christ.

The Making of a Sermon
This is a very unusual volume. Usually a volume of sermon outlines has limited value in homiletics because the outlines are too vague to allow for further development. This is not true of A. T. Pierson. A serious student of the Word of God could easily preach for years by personal study and expansion upon the seminal truths presented in each of these abbreviated studies. Pierson’s scholarly mind and poignant writing style make theses subjects accessible for any careful Bible student regardless of formal preparation. This is the fourth volume in the series designed to reissue the important writings of a man who vastly influenced the face of Fundamentalism in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Evangelistic Work
This volume supplies much that is lacking in our day philosophically, historically, and practically. One would think that Pierson was writing about contemporary issues rather than conditions which existed over 100 years ago. He succinctly states the Biblical principles which should govern our understanding of evangelism with pointed admonition to prepare the heart for evangelistic efforts. Further, he supplies information about the work of people who impacted evangelism in his day. Much of this material has been lost with time and books going out of publication.

The Bitter People Around David
Bitterness is a spiritual cancer in the body of Christ. It is subtle, often lying dormant for long periods of time only to surface in unexpected breakouts that endanger the testimony, hinder the health, and even threaten the well-being of the body. It is a serious spiritual disease that must be prevented if possible. If bitterness has invaded the body, it must be diagnosed and excised as quickly as possible. Bitterness is a root sin that provides the unhealthy environment for other sins to develop and grow. Attempts to eradicate these other sins without addressing the root is the treatment of symptoms without addressing the disease. The results will be catastrophic!

Prayer, The Believer's Privilege and Power
Prayer is not only a privilege but a necessity if the believer is to function properly. The key to spiritual power lies very much in the understanding and practice of prayer. Instruction in this vital matter is so much lacking in this modern day, particularly from an exegetical approach! We have much anecdotal/devotional writing about prayer. We need a more textual understanding of the subject. This book is de-signed to encourage as well as instruct Christians on this vital subject.

Running the Race
This volume is a companion to my previous book, By Faith. It continues with the exposition of Hebrews chapters 12 and 13. The emphasis upon a relationship with Christ that results in successful Christian living in chapter 12 flows into the practical admonitions of Chapter 13 including the issue of pastoral authority. The exposition is devotionally applied throughout.

Life-Power
A.T. Pierson followed Spurgeon at Metropolitan Tabernacle. Most of his books are long out of print. This volume dates from the late nineteenth century and demonstrates his command of classical literature as well as the ability to apply Biblical principle in ways that transcend decades of time. His own words describe the content of this book. "In discussing life-power,the position is now taken, the thought which will be urged, is that everyone ought to make as much of himself and of his life as he can."

Basics for Baptist Believers Student Manual
Few would question the importance of discipling new converts. The problem lies most often in the logistics of actually getting the job done. There are a number of discipleship programs available from various groups. For those of us who are Baptist by conviction many of those programs leave much to be desired in terms of certain emphases. Further complicating our discipleship efforts is the fact that most discipleship materials were written some years ago and presuppose a background knowledge of the Bible that is hardly realistic in our day. An attempt has been made to look at the discipleship process through the eyes of a new believer. I have attempted to pose the questions which would most likely occur to a new believer. I have further attempted to arrange those questions in the order that they are most likely to occur. These lessons are written in order to lead the new believer to the Bible for the answers to his questions.

Equipping for the Pulpit Ministry
Never in the history of the Church has the ministry been more complex and demanding than today. This author is of the persuasion that certain critical philosophical concepts are being lost in the press to prepare preachers for the organizational and operational aspects of the ministry. Mechanics are overshadowing motive. Precept is being subjugated to pragmatism. Success has become more important than faithfulness to truth. In such an environment, the greatest losers are not the ill-prepared preachers but the saints who depend upon those preachers for spiritual leadership. For this reason, the principles of this volume are set forth. Every effort has been made to be practical as well as philosophical.

Designed to Endure
Of all of the assaults made by Diabolus upon the town of Mansoul, one of the most heart rending has been his attack upon the citadel of marriage. Nothing is under greater attack today than the home. All the forces of an evil world are marshaled against the values that make any society strong. Education, the media, entertainment, and even religious sectors of modern culture have joined together to assault the nuclear family. The pressures are profound. The very definition of the home is being called into question by the changing mores of society. We must do all we can encourage the success of the family. Biblical principles are the answer to the deliemma faced by modern families.

For The Sake of Decency
No one particularly enjoys addressing controversial subjects. In fact the vulnerability that immediately results is sufficient grounds for the faint-hearted to desist. There are few areas of concern in our day that are more controversial than the subject of modesty in general and women’s dress in particular. Of course there are other ways to demonstrate immodesty besides clothing. The first portion of this volume is actually a series of sermons prepared to challenge God’s people to be different, to choose a higher road than that which is promoted by the world. It is issued in this format to encourage Christians to think seriously about the issues and to respond biblically.
The second portion of this work recently went out of print and therefore was no longer available for our ministry. We deemed this a loss and therefore have endeavored to reproduce it in a somewhat more attractive and easily readable format.

By My Spirit
Zechariah 4:6 records God’s challenge to Zerubbabel, “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” It behooves the church in these days to remember that the dynamic of Biblical Christianity is the power of the Spirit of God at work in the lives of God’s people. While the Charismatic Movement, Keswick Movement, and others have introduced teachings about the Holy Spirit that are foreign to the Word of God, we ought not to abandon the truth in reaction to falsehood.
This volume is not intended to be the final word on this important subject. It is intended to provide a framework for basic understanding and application for God’s people. It is my hope that these basic studies will stimulate further study and, more importantly personal implementation of the truths discussed.
