John Jennings
About me:
I am an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My research centers around utilizing popular culture in design pedagogy and I frequently lecture on visual culture, visual literacy, and the usage of design for social awareness and change. I am also a member and co-founder of EYE TRAUMA COMIX (www.myspace.com/eyetrauma and www.eyetrauma.net) a sequential art collective made up of myself Damian Duffy, Dann Tincher, Jason Pankoke, Ed Cho, and Billy Phillips. Eye Trauma is dedicated to the creation of comics, their edification in the eyes of the masses, curation of comic art shows, and finding needles in haystacks.
