Jay Wright
After 28 years as a corporate Training Manager at AT&T and then 12 years as a Senior Consultant for a research-based organizational development consulting firm, I have retired to Lake Hartwell in South Carolina. I now have the time to research, collect, and play guitars - and to write. I freely admit to having Guitar Acquisition Syndrome, along with all the wierd behaviors and side effects that normally accompany the affliction. I also tend to socialize with other carriers of the Guitar Envy gene.
In the picture to the left, I'm holding on to George Fullerton, who is holding on to my 1999 G&L ASAT Blues Boy Special Edition #1. George is one of the founders of G&L Music, Inc., along with Leo Fender and Dale Hyatt. The top for this guitar is from a piece of curly maple board that was stored in Leo Fender's office. It is truly one of a kind and is still the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen. And . . . it plays as great as it looks.
