The Last Faithful Man
This is the story of the ancient Israelite prophet Elijah, and his conflict with Jezebel and the cults of Baal and Ashtarte.
The political struggle between the national kings and the traditional religious forces are the subtext of this story from the Biblical Book of Kings. In the original narrative, Jezebel is protrayed as entirely evil and Elijah entirely good. But time has a way of reducing real people to one-dimensional caricatures, when the realities are much more complex.
The conflict takes place over several generations, and eventually determines the future of the nation.

Walt's Gulch
Walter Steward has a dream. With his daughter Jessica, he moves to the north country and builds a new home far from the troubles that have plagued and blighted his life. The people he meets there, the friendships he forges, seem blessings indeed. The future seems bright.
But one of those friendships brings disaster. Walter has no idea that the closest of his new friends, George Sedlewitz, is on the run for having murdered two police officers in a fit of rage. Walter knows that George is moody, nervous, and quiet. He doesn't know that he's a little mad, and that he isn't done with his killing.

The Scroll of Jeremiah
Jeremiah's one ambition was to be a good man.
Conscripted into his nation's army while still a boy, he was taught that to be good was to obey every orders spoken in the name of God, no matter to what atrocities those orders led him.
When he was a boy, he later bitterly says, he believed it. Perhaps then he was still innocent. But over the decades he has become a hated and feared master of a trade he despises with all his heart.
When the land is struck with a terrible plague, Jeremiah embarks on a solitary quest. Overcoming many difficulties, he learns that to save his family and his land, he must conquer the one monster he hoped never to face: Himself.
