J.T. KATTNER

Photographer, writer, and artist, J.T. Kattner originally comes from Austin Texas. Dabbling into the world of troubadour street performers and open mic magicians in the mid 90's... this is where these lyrics and tunes first came to life. Performing weekly at Austin's CHICAGO HOUSE, under the tutelage of Jimmy Lafave and the amazing circle of artists who resided there each wednseday night. Kattner's words and imagery remind us of places and people we have been. Both sweet and sad. In turns both comic and dark, These are chunks of Hillbilly Poetry cut from the wood of street weary denizens and the hard luck cases. Think somewhere between Tom Waits and Bob Dylan. Taking influences from Jazz and Country and processed through a Cuisinart of Psychedelic Bluegrass... acoustic music flavored and enhanced by the seasonings of Post Modern Digital Media.
