Ratings and reviews have not functioned on my works until mid June 2007.Please do not let their absence keep you from purchasing. Spend a few dollars on a down load and I'm sure you will return to read me again and again. Don't let the fact that books seem to appear twice confuse you. Hard covers appear after soft and are more expensive. You will note the difference in the prices. 2007 May 13 The first African American Epic in the fictional spiritualist genre, a genre often called fantasy.....HERU UR. THE FIRST STORY OF GOOD AND EVIL. THE FIRST HERO FALLEN FROM GRACE. THE FIRST HERO WHO SAVED A HERO. THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF YEARS LATER HIS NAME SURVIVES IN EVERY MENTION OF A HERO. HERU RA UR. THE WILL ITSELF WITH A VERY BAD ATTITUDE. I am so excited about The Pert Em Hru Ra Ur, The Book of Becoming Awake Again novella fantasy trilogy. The Book of Becoming Awake Again is being offered in three different novellas as well as one single book containing all of them. My reasons are many fold. In my research for what I consider the greatest fantasy work ever, I found that the Egyptians named short tomes a book. I wanted to mirror this with my work. I also recognized that the three hundred some page book would be large and expensive as well. Separating the books and offering them separately would make it affordable for my intended market--you. Lastly, I wanted this to feel like all the fantasy work I read as a kid growing up, small, inexpensive action filled novellas. I say kid, but anyone reading just a few words will realize it is more than a fantasy novel. And it is not the greatest fantasy epic ever because of the sweeping scope of the work, though the writing could easily stand with work from the likes of Tolkien, Moorcock, and Donaldson. You see it is an epic masterpiece, ten years in the making. It grew as I did, failed as I did, even became more of what it was intended to be, as I did, of course. Certainly, one could say this of any writer's work, but none more than this. If one understands the nature of Heru for the people called the Egyptians, then my meaning becomes clear... I dare not tell you much more without revealing too much. Still, not giving you more of the information behind this work would be unfair. So...Firstly, I call this the greatest fantasy epic ever, not because of self praise, or my own very passionate, detailed, and well researched writing, but because it is a retelling of the first recorded battle of the forces of good and evil. In it, you will find echos of the first battle between AmenRa, good, and Apep, evil; between good Heru and very evil Set against the back drop of the epic recorded battle of a two hundred year war for the souls of humanity, the rise of Heru, the first hero, to Set the first hero fallen to villian. All of which was first recorded on Egyptian temple walls.... Lastly, a word, if I may, about the title. The Book of Becoming Awake is a literal translation of the so called Egyptian Book of the Dead. It was given that name by the pioneers of Egyptology only because it was found in burial chambers. It was in actuality a book of becoming spiritually awake to over come evil. In the Kamitic, it was said Pert Em Hru, as in Heru, as in Heru Ra Ur, Son of Ra. Indeed, now,having finished one screen play and one three hundred some odd paged novel, The Book of Becoming Awake Again is not simply a clever play on words but a title that could be nothing else for this work. From the evil that Gods became, to the good that the world of Humanity has ever forgot, The Book of Becoming Awake Again moves through the stages of heroic tradition as if it were the first to create it; for it was. In existence long before Odysseus, Tarzan, Hercules, Thor, Hamlet, Lao Tzu,Elric of Melniborne,Thomas Covenant, or Frodo Baggins, or any other heroic construct, I offer you an aspect of the first hero, Heru Ra Ur, Son of Ra, as he was in the splendid multicultural Egypt, the land of people of all hues, as he was at the foot of the great mountain where the rivers meet with this The Book of Becoming Awake Again.      2007 Apr 20 GodistJust a few words about the format. I've decided that the best way to release some of my work is to break them down into chapters--novellas. This makes them affordable as well it makes them accessible. My writing and topic is quite different. 25 years of writing and I'm able to bring a very different skill level to what I do. Add to that twenty years of spiritual work and you get what you got. While my fiction is very understandable, trade fiction or literary at once, depending on the book, my non fiction has been described as "densely incredible." I find it is hard to present so much "Wow" as would occur in 200-300 pages in non fiction with out it daunting the reader. I'm sure that you find that unique and that it should be just the opposite, but it is what I am understanding. Yes, my work is "densely good, even "densely incredible." I get people who spend their time simply reading my excerpts on line who say wonderful things to me like that. "I had to read some things in Knowing the Manifestations five times to understand it all...Who are you the next Dali Llama?" So I had major challenges with Godist, it is fiction and it is fact, and I can't help but be the writer I am so... The Godist Order is all fluff on the outside and very easy reading by comparison to my nonfiction. But it is spiritual and it is ripped right from the pages of today, as every good sci-fi piece is. A ten year old could read it and enjoy it and a 100 year old could do the same, but the 100 year old would get so much more, so much incredibly more from it. Godist takes its title from the arrogant understanding of God today which is killing the earth. It is about global warming and war and species extinction occuring every day and all the things which are not being addressed by our leaders. Set 4000 years in the future, it is about what happens when world leadership commits treason to the earth and oppresses everyone using their understanding of God. Enjoy the first book Ignorant Will and know that The Godist Order will be life changing for many, opening so many eyes to so much.May we have the strength to save the earth and ourselves.
