In June 2005, my first feature article was printed in CARTOONIST PROfiles magazine. To me, that was "making it": I had long considered getting featured in CARTOONIST PROfiles as a tremendous honour, and thanks to Jud Hurd, I had the opportunity.
Sadly, Jud passed away just as this final issue was printed. I will always be grateful to him for including me in CARTOONIST PROfiles.
This article discusses my Cartooning career as it was in 2005, and includes information and advice about Freelance Cartooning, Self-publishing, and more, with sample illustrations and cartoons.

Art Print: $10.00 The Statue of Liberty as illustrated by Cartoonist and Illustrator John Steventon. Lady Liberty is seen here with the flag waving behind her, and the image has been given a unique stained glass appearance. The illustration is a beautiful assemblage of tiny cells up close, turning into a stunning view of Lady Liberty as you step back from it. A truly unique and wonderful image. |

We recommend the 11x14 size, or smaller, for higher image quality. |
 |
Art Print: $10.95 Sure, your Uncle has that cool picture of Stonehenge he took on vacation once, but does he have a photo taken from INSIDE the henge?
Not everyone gets to venture inside the stone circle, but now you can decorate your walls with this beautiful and historic photo of the actual ancient entrance (and exit) to Stonehenge itself. The photo is taken at a slight angle so that you can see the Heel and Slaughter Stones, part of the original gateway to the henge monument. Beyond these stones lies the Avenue, where processions arrived, and left, this wonderous place.
We recommend the 11x14 size, or smaller, for higher image quality. |
 |

Art Print: $10.00 John Henry was a hero of mine growing up. There was something about his never-give-up attitude which has stayed with me all these years, and has inspired me to never give up in my own life. Because of his influence, I have successfully pursued my dreams of being a Cartoonist and Artist, against many odds, I should add.
It was only fitting that I create a tribute to my hero through my comic strip The Inquiring Minds, in the hope of inspiring others.
This strip now appears in Houghton-Mifflin 8th grade History books, so my dream of inspiring others has come true, and 8th graders everyewhere are now staying awake during History class. :0) |

Art Print: $10.95 This Stone Lion is just one of the many stone carvings that adorn the buildings of Oxford, England. He is rather attractive, as stone carvings go, and his mis-matched eyes make this a unique and dynamic photo.
Who knows how long this lion has been watching over the streets of Oxford? Now let him watch over your home or office, and give you a smile each time you walk by. |
 |
Art Print: $10.95 The Atomium of Brussels, Belgium, shining in the sunlight and set against a perfect blue sky. This sharp, clear photo gives a sense of the shear size of this bizzare tourist attraction; stare into the photo and you can almost feel its weight hanging over you! |
