Poetry, simply, has always driven my life. I always think about what makes you wake up in the morning and want to actually get out of bed, what drives you? For me its living poetry. Aknowledging the beauty of the world, and when I can, writing it down. Every moment to me is poetry. This first book, entitled: Phoenix, Rising. is my first introduction into the world of published poetry. It is my continual journey into adulthood. Fueled by the passion of friends, fellow poets, online communities and the heartbreak and joy of everyday life. This book is a look into the mind of a youth caught up in the issues that surround us in this amazing time in our human history. These poems have been collected from my first four or so years of writing.
