Leonard Zion
Finding Another Voice ~ Moments of Wonder is a celebration of life through a collection of inspirational and motivational poetry written by Leonard Zion. After suffering a stroke with resulting Aphasia in 2001, leaving him unable to speak, Finding Another Voice became Leonard's quest to explore new ways to express his thoughts through poetry. Referring to his stroke as his "Stroke of Luck", Leonard's is a journey of loving each Moment of Wonder through learning, living and participating fully in his recovery in the face of unknown odds. His poetry expresses his inner vision and heart as he voyages through the unknown, from the practical, to the joyful, the mystical, feared, poignant, grateful and memorable moments of his life. Most of all, Finding Another Voice ~ Moments of Wonder is a celebration of our wondrous capabilities when heart and mind are joined. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Special Note: My father, Leonard, suffered a second stroke in May of 2006 and passed on June 16,2006. That same evening he was being honored by the National Aphasia Association at their annual banquet in Boston. The trumpets sounded as he continued his journey. My mother, Deborah, was his loving wife and partner of 56 years, always by his side, encouraging and supportive, with deepest admiration. She was also his editor and joyfully saw the book in its final form just days before she went to join my father on November 20, 2006. Thank you both for so many "Moments of Wonder" -Tefilah...)
