THERE’S POWER IN THAT PHRASE !
Lilly Bigelow - 2007
“Praise be to God Almighty!”
There’s power in that phrase.
When we appreciate and delight in Him
He – will us – amaze!
“God is our refuge and our strength.”
Though circumstances seem unjust,
He’ll give the peace we sorely need
If in Him we’ll put our trust.
Saying thanks to God for blessings
But also for our pain
Provides a supernatural peace
And a joy we can’t explain.
“Thank you God for the way things are;
Though I do not understand.
But I trust that you know what’s best
And it’s part of your perfect plan.”
Those words don’t come out easy
When dread and misery are in sight.
But “have no fear – be not dismayed”
To the LORD God belongs the fight!
We must not depend on feelings.
We can only see with human eyes.
God alone is the One all-seeing –
The Creator of the earth and skies.
Through hurricanes and wars,
Depression and disease…
Thanking Him – no matter what –
Our anguish, He will ease.
In destruction, devastation,
Suffering, pain and tears…
God’s power is released through praise
And He’ll quell all our fears.
He’ll be with us when we’re haunted -
When life looks dark and bleak.
Believe it’s in His perfect plan
That He’s strong when you are weak.
“Though it looks like evil won LORD
And I do not understand…
Thank you God for this situation,
I know it’s part of your perfect plan.”
No trust, no peace, no change
In us or in our situation
Unless we’re willing to be willing
To make “thanks” our communication.
Thank Him for your worry.
Thank Him when life’s not fair.
Thank Him in your trials.
Make “thanks” your only prayer.
Are you burdened, mourning, or imprisoned,
Sick or broken-hearted?
Thank and praise Him without ceasing!
Let Him finish what He started.
“God is able.” We are not.
God is in control.
Trust and praise and watch Him work
Before the problems take their toll.
“Thank you God for what’s happening,
Though I do not understand.
But I trust that you know what’s best -
And it’s part of your perfect plan.”
God is the architect of all creation
And formed man’s innermost parts.
Thanking and praising changes lives
And people and their hearts.
We can’t thank Him if we doubt.
Believing is a matter of will.
God works through all things for our best.
“Know He’s God… BE STILL!”
Believe His timing is perfect –
God is never late.
Our only task is to thank and praise –
Not to speculate.
We can blame God for what we see
And hear the cast-down angel’s voice;
Or we can praise the LORD with all our soul
And in everything… REJOICE!
“Rejoice in the LORD!” the Bible says.
“Rejoice!” and “Again, REJOICE!”
Praise and thanks opens our hearts and souls
To hear the LORD God’s voice.
“Thank you God for the way it is,
Though I do not understand.
But I trust that you know what is best
And it’s part of your perfect plan.”
“It’s glorious to trust in God”
And know He’s in control.
“Our Lord God Almighty reigns,”
The Creator of body and soul.
God supplies the serenity we need
To accept what we cannot change.
But thanking Him for the good and bad
May seem a little strange.
So feed your spirit with God’s Words
About faith and trust and praise,
And His miracles through man’s obedience -
It’s not a new fad or craze!
All-wise, All-powerful, All-seeing,
King of kings and LORD of lords…
His Word confirms He loves us all
But it’s believers He rewards.
“I’m not praying for what I think is right LORD God,
I’m leaving it in your hands,
I know that you know the way that’s best –
Though I may not understand.”
“Praise be to God Almighty!”
There’s power in that phrase.
His perfect plan comes together for our good…
When to God - our thanks - we raise!
2006 Jul 19 Thank you to all who have checked out this site and these books. I have had so much positive response to the books and their content. God has blessed me to be able to touch so many people through my writing.
2005 May 30 Thanks to all of you who have read my books or checked out this web site. I can't believe it's almost been a year since I published the first one. "Time stops for no man!" (or woman) My Mother passed away earlier this year. She inspired the title of a book I have in the works now. It will be called "Better Days Ahead." I miss talking to her, but I can still feel her love and support.  2004 Jun 19 MY BOOK! My "LIFE...."
I received my proof copy yesterday. What a feeling - to open a package and see the finished product of my blood, sweat and tears! (Well maybe not blood or sweat, but definitely some tears.)
Anyway, the publisher did a wonderful job of printing this huge piece of my heart and soul for all the world to see. It's very humbling, but will be completely worthwhile if my experiences can help someone else who may be suffering pain similar to that about which I've written.

2004 Jun 14 MY MISSION STATEMENT
MY GOAL is to be the best writer that I can be
using the gifts God gave me of intellect and insight.
MY DESIRE is to encourage, those who have lost or are losing hope,
through the promises as found in the Word of God.
