If you're in the mood for Bob, you'll be happy to hear that two new 2006 Bob calendars are available here and nowhere else.

Bob World 2006 offers photos from the Bob Blog with a little something free thrown in: an adjective. That's right. Each month you get a great photo and a great adjective. It's your dream come true, I imagine.

The other calendar is filled with images and quotes from Bob's first book, "Of Rats and Men."

My old Lone Prairie blog, which existed from June 2002 to August 2005, will soon be reborn on paper. Though I completely removed it from my website and replaced it with my newly restructured Lone Prairie Blog, there were some funny posts and interesting essays on the old blog that deserve a chance to stick around.

The new blog book, as of yet untitled, will contain most of the blog with some posts deleted. For example, posts that relied on outside links and that kind of thing will not be found in the blog because they will not make sense in the book format.

So, if you liked some of the posts on the old blog, stay tuned. It's coming back and you won't need an internet connection to read it this time around.

However, it is a good chance for me to tell you about...me. The books I have on Lulu are a combination of art and creative writing. I like to dabble in short stories, poems, personal essays and scathing sarcasm.

My "real" blog, the Lone Prairie Blog, has both contributed to my writing and taken from it. I can't decide which, though I think the real truth is that my blog was a fabulous Catch 22. My writing and thinking improved by leaps and bounds over three years of blogging and reading other blogs, but I am now to a point where the time I pour into my blog seems to be sapping my creativity both in the visual arts and what I write.

I deleted my entire Lone Prairie blog, re-designed my website, and set down to make a new start in a much needed new direction. The old blog lives on in a book, of course, right here on Lulu. The Of Rats and Men book also came about because of my blog and my Blogathon 2005 participation.

So, I hope you take the time to buy a book, check out my website, and tell me what you think. Unless you can only think of mean things. Then please no.
