Orobai's Vision
In the tradition of Tolkien and Herbert, "Orobai's Vision" is the captivating first installment of the four volume fantasy/sci-fi epic, "Tales of Aurduin," by Martin W. Ball. When the creature Orobai discovers an unusual jewel that transforms into a mysterious young girl, he knows that his destiny is at hand. For 23,000 years Orobai has wandered the lost forests and towering mountains of Aurduin, a mythical land created by the Illan. The sole remaining practitioner of the Altfein-Aryat, the Illan's mystical art of creation, Orobai has patiently awaited the fulfillment of his magical purpose: to heal the world of Aurduin in the aftermath of a prophesized apocalypse. Now it is a race against time as Orobai struggles to piece together the intricate puzzle of his fate, the identity of the young girl, Miraanni, and the devastating ecological sickness that is overtaking Aurduin. Join Orobai as he seeks a vision that will reveal his path through the terrible apocalypse and healing that is to come.

Her guardian, Ashi must flee Laftandiar-Urya after receiving an ancient religious relic. Can the Serpent King bring Miraanni back? Will Ashi accept her role as the Miraanni's prophet, and to what end? The pace quickens as tensions and stakes are raised in this dynamic continuation of Tales of Aurduin.

Music of Aurduin
With "Music of Aurduin," Martin Ball showcases his unique world fusion style to bring to life the mythical landscapes, peoples, and events of Aurduin, the world of his "Tales of Aurduin" epic fantasy series. In these all digital and all acoustic recordings, Martin combines such instruments as African talking drum, Australian didjeridu, Native American flute, Middle Eastern doumbek, guitar, mandolin, and more, to bring the world and characters of Aurduin to life. This CD has several songs with Martin's intricate didjeridu playing, such as in "Festival of Waters" and "Orobai Sings the Ul'mult'ah." It also highlights Martin's skill at melodic world fusion arrangements, such as in the haunting "Lasting Hope," or the delicate beauty of "Eagle Wings." This album also features Martin's skill at Tuvan and Tibetan throat singing, such as in the esoteric "North Wind Spirits" and the strangely haunting "Prayer for Miraanni."
