Having spent several years performing to clubs, retirement homes, social groups and schools, I have formulated my own approach to writing and displaying original, amusing pieces. I have, also, discovered how hard such inconsequential items are to come by; after every production I have been requested for copies. Well, here they are, plus hints for staging! Incidentally, Pam Ayres is my heroine!

Mix me a Melodrama

Little Somethings
“Little Somethings” is a collection of monologues that have been written with a view to performance. They can, however, also be enjoyed as a light-hearted read. Inn Deed

However, it is also a timeless situation comedy and its misunderstandings and pretentions are as funny today as ever they were. This modern rewrite of the play is designed to make the story more understandable to a modern audience. It is written in verse, which suits the poetic flow of the language of an earlier era, and there are lyrics to suitable and well-known folk songs, which may or may not be used.Viewed from either an educational or entertainment point of view, this 'melodrama' has much to offer.
