Mick's Mix Book Store

As an author, I find that my work has begun to take on a life of its own. It flows from my mind with an ease that surprises even me at times. I have always loved to write so getting my work published (through what many incorrectly consider to be an invalid venue, *gasp* online publishing) was a thrill I can’t even begin to explain.

Two of my books were previously published by the online publisher, bookbooters.com, until they closed down, 'Bailey's Pond' and 'Blood Ties ~ The Beginning' in both e-book and paperback . I am planning to make a series out of Blood Ties, with at least six books in the series. Sometime within the next few years, I hope to get the sequel to Bailey's Pond out as well.

The romance series 'Desire In The Heartland' is soon to have the next book in the series, 'A Fair To Remember' available here for your reading pleasure. This series is set in Kansas, my homestate and the heartland of America.

Blood Ties ~ The Beginning
Blood Ties chronicles the existence of Sabra Raine, a beautiful young woman, torn from her family in the sixteenth century by a malevolent vampire known as Ravenal and condemned to eternal life as one of the undead. In the year 2000, Ravenal crosses Sabra's path once again when he engages in the pursuit of Sinja Marquette, a talented young artist from New York. Sinja is also a direct descendant of Sabra's. With the help of Sinja's best friend Kurt Van Helsing, Sabra embarks on a mission to protect Sinja against the monstrous Ravenal and save her from the curse of the undead.

When they discover the evil which has been incubating in Bailey's Pond for a long time, they quickly realize that the only way to completely rid the world of this evil is to destroy the pond.
