Lulu Groups

Groups are one of the many community tools available on Lulu, and are an excellent way for creators to share their collective interests and meet new friends.

Old Versus New: Lulu Storefronts

Lulu Storefronts serve as a creator's home page and are a great way to display your Lulu content to get both you and your work noticed by the rest of the world. After a great deal of testing, retesting, and redesign, we now feel that we're on the verge of making Storefronts 2.0 available to all creators on Lulu.

Fireside Chat with Henry: Camp Lulu

To appreciate Camp Lulu requires a deeper understanding of Lulu itself. It probably doesn't surprise you that we, the Lulu Staff, take nothing for granted. Any success our company has achieved thus far is a direct result of a choice you made to be a part of us, and we wouldn't be here today if you hadn't made that choice. We wake up every day realizing that, and we're privileged and honored to be serving you--if not a little paranoid as well. But paranoia is good—it keeps us continually thinking about better ways to meet your needs.

No More Membership Fees at LuluTV!

A lot can happen in a year. We launched as a viral video co-op, where shareholders bought into the marketplace, and split the revenues. We then decided we could put even more cash into the pool by sharing ad revenue. Then something really crazy occurred to us. Why not drop the subscription fee, and let *everyone* compete for the moolah.

WTH Con

February 9th-11th, Nick went to Greensboro, NC to attend WTH Con, a small convention run by the Yachting Club at Guilford College.

Photographer Profile: Becky Johnson

Photography was not always my passion. Certainly, I was exposed to it at a young age, but not at the level at what would be considered professional. Lulu has become my way of self-expression that leaves a lasting impact on its viewers - and about me as a professional.

Meetups and Author Events

We have four Meetups scheduled for the coming two months in North Carolina and Virginia. If you can, come and join us. If you can't, we'd love to schedule a meetup and a library or bookstore event in your area.

Finger Monster Says!

Lulu Customer Support always tries to give you the friendliest, most helpful customer service possible. However, we also have a Finger Monster in residence and he isn't always so nice. Here, he shares his opinions with those foolish enough to write to him (fingermonster@lulu.com).

Distribution Services Update

If you have one of our Published By You or Published By Lulu distribution services (or if you're thinking of purchasing one), read this update to learn about our newly enhanced pricing step for books with distribution.

Closing Thoughts

We hope you've enjoyed this 31st edition of the Lulu Newsletter. We'd love to hear your thoughts, so send your comments and suggestions to newsletter@lulu.com. We're always looking for Lulu creator-generated content, so send us your articles, images, and stories, too. (We'll credit you and link to your storefront). See you next time!
