The texts of the books you find here are previously published on my weblogs like onepostperday.com, http://www.noisepollution.nl/blog and http://www.noisepollution.nl/stories. Here new posts and stories will be written that eventually will be published here in book form as well.

The books are re-written and editted versions of the texts that appeared on the blogs. In that respect you could say that the blog versions are the rough drafts.

Examples of my writing can be found at the bottom of this page where I set up some RSS feeds of my blogs.

If you liked the blogs you will like the books even better!

Surreal short and ultra short stories that take place in this world and yet do not...

Storensicals

StorensicalsStorensicals (book)

Print: $8.07

Download: $0.62

A collection of often surreal short stories previously published on storensical.blogspot.com with a few previously unpublished stories. The stories contain some dark humour and often take a critical look upon life, religion, humanity etc. But more often than not with a wink, albeit surreptitiously.

Blues poems

Blues poemsBlues poems (book)

Print: $6.21

These poems were written in the early 90's. Upon re-reading them I found them to be still valid. The fears, emotions and feelings in them still move me today. I am sure many of us remember the struggles we've had in the transition to adulthood. Some of us maybe never grow up...

  • Whatfor or Why for short

    2008 Aug 30

In a hazy place in a hazy land lived a hazy character. It’s name was Whatfor or Why for short. It can’t be established whether the character was male or female due to its haziness so for convenience sake and to be on the safe side I shall refer to it as it. In the [...]
  • The man

    2008 Aug 27

In a corner of the pub the man sat. The light didn’t quite reach that far into the pub so he was partly veiled in darkness. On the small round table in front of him stood a pint glass as yet untouched. He sat alone. No one paid any attention to him but me. Attracted [...]
  • Corrections were made

    2008 Jul 28

My personal proof reader (also, and vastly more important: my mother) compiled a list of mistakes she found in the stories contained in “Nu-man and other short stories“. These mistakes are now corrected and the new version of the book has been uploaded to lulu.com. In other words: you’ve had your chance of getting a [...]

  • Petrus’ new job

    2008 May 06

Petrus new job.pdf One day Petrus felt bored. He had been receiving groveling and anxious people for the best part of eternity. He couldn’t stand the self satisfied relief on people’s faces when he granted access through the Pearly Gates. In reality those Pearly Gates had been retired to the Heaven Central Museum long ago. Due [...]

  • Loudmouth’s right to democracy

    2008 Oct 15

(Waiting at the ferry at Opheusden couple of weeks ago): In a group the one with the loudest voice is considered right. Whether he (in this case) or she is or not. I just had to listen to a load of nonsense from a just retired fool who was cycling with friends. He was instructing his friends [...]
  • Extrapolation

    2008 Oct 02

Are mankind and the state of science ready to extrapolate? Can we finally collect all data and imagine truths we can not see yet, building upon what we know. By doing this we can once and for all dispel magic, miracles and religion and bask in the wonder that is pure material truth.
  • Leave my psyche alone, please!

    2008 Sep 24

I am reading a biography about Carl Gustav Jung. Together with Freud the trailblazers for psychoanalysis. While walking the dogs just now and thinking about the book I suddenly realised that in medical science, discovery of how humans work also always brings the need to cure. Of course for many people this is a good thing. [...]
  • It has begun

    2008 Sep 19

It has begun. It has truly begun! The mind is set to weigh every word, every sentence. “Labor omnia vicit improbus,” let that be said of me. Melancholy, anger, ignorance, madness. “Labor omnia vicit improbus.”
  • Place for deep thought

    2008 Sep 18

Life is full of distractions. For many people this is not a problem. Many even welcome or promote the distractions making them the goal of their lives. As such they are no longer distractions and become a reason for existing. It makes life shallower but by no means unhappier and it can be argued that [...]
