Please contact her for more information at paperWERXings [!at] gmail.com Christina has been creative virtually all her life and began her artistic endeavours at the tender age of 2 with her father. Sitting on the floor on a rainy fall day, her much beloved father taught her how to draw with Grumbacher oil pastels. Much to his delight, she did and WITHOUT the customary scribbling. It was the beginning of a beautiful relationship between Christina and creating art... Throughout her years, Christina has alway been known as an artsy girl and it's her goal to bring a little light and beauty to your space, everyday. In addition to being a mixed media artist and graphic designer, Christina is also a art instructor and teaches frequently around her home city of Vancouver. She also has begun to travel to the USA and Eastern Canada to teach at art retreats and workshops. Her classes consist of everything from rubberstamping, scrapbooking, mixed media techniques, acrylic painting and fabric collage. EDUCTION Formally educated as a Architectural Draftperson, with a minor in Graphic Design at Kwantlen University College in Richmond, BC Canada. Christina has had no formal fine art training, all her artistic techniques are primarily self-taught and come from 30+ years of experimentation, a little reading and few art retreat workshops. She believes that this has actually made her a better artist... Without formal training, she has developed ways to achieve her artistic vision in an unconventional, out-of-the-box manner that is uniquely, distinctly Christina. |
