Difficult Limbs
DIFFICULT LIMBS (2005) is a collection of prose poems, at once hypnotizing and provocative, that interweaves the surreal with the sensual. Embracing both lovers and killers, touching on the lives of famous poets as well as the street fashions of Italy, the chapbook paints a world where ordinary objects are revealed as wondrous. JOHN PARRAS is the author of FIRE ON MT. MAGGIORE (University of Tennessee Press, 2005), which won the 2004 Peter Taylor Prize for the Novel. The recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship for Fiction, Dr. Parras teaches literature and writing at the William Paterson University of New Jersey and splits his time between the United States and Italy.
