'A Magnanimous Offer ...' is John O'Loughlin's first collection of short prose, most of which are less strictly short stories than effectively one-act plays; but it is certainly literary and betrays a certain youthful ebullience and even, for the early 70s, one or two strangely prophetic pieces!
