The Christmas Clarinet Duet Book by Kyle Coughlin consists of 55 arrangements of 25 different carols for two clarinets. The carols are written specifically for the clarinet and are geared towards beginner and intermediate students. The first ten songs are all in the lower register. The next fifteen songs are in both the upper and lower registers. The book is unique because there are at least two versions of every carol in the book. The first version of each song has the melody entirely in the top line of the clarinet parts. These arrangements are good for featuring students playing along with their teachers. In the second version of each song, the melody is traded back and forth between the two clarinet parts. The book includes four extra carols for more advanced players: two more arrangements of Jingle Bells, and one each of O Christmas Tree and Silent Night. 63 pages.
