Technology as an ever present companion provides relief from boredom in ever increasing ways. Some people check out with Angry Birds or twitter away with often inane updates of an activity or prominent thought of the moment. I suffer from the fidgets more than the next person, but those activities don't appeal to me. "The Eight" did it for me. In one of those frequently provided "waiting" moments (in the airport, this time), I swiftly downloaded Adobe, then "The Eight" and in a couple of seconds my mind was in fullgear. Excellent writing, perfectly paced, and what did it for me, was the aftermath of provocative thoughts and emotions that filled the waiting gap far more productively than Angry Birds or other flighty, bird brained activities. I shall look out for more quick reads from D Link.
