Not to be cliché, but he had me at the first paragraph. I’ve never loved the zombie, I have to say. In the world of the undead, they are the ones I like to see get blasted. That is until now. Fischer’s fun, youthful writing style draws the reader in and his plot was fast paced. It was with great regret that I had to stop reading for the night, try as I might to finish the book all in one great big gulp, my eyes stopped working and I had to stop. And it was with a cup of tea and fresh eyes that I devoured the rest of it in the morning. This book did not let me down at any turn. The writing style was compelling, the characters believable and likeable while still remaining flawed in completely realistic ways, and of course the action was there and there, and there. I loved this book.
Oh, and it’s clean enough for any YA audience if you’re okay with minimal genre style slayage.
