This is a facsimile of The Bishop's Bible - first published in 1568. This is a copy of a 1595 printing of that famous Bible. This is volume 2 containing the Apocrypha and New Testament.
"Bishop's Bible Facsimile" This is a reasonable facsimile. It is limited by the quality of the scans used to make the facsimile, which in turn appear at least in part to not be as clear as I'd like due to the condition of the original it was scanned from. In general, it is readable, once you get used to the old English script that it is printed in. In some areas there is heavy bleed through from the opposite side of the page, making the text difficult to decipher, but this is the minority of the pages. Some of the Epistles suffer in this facsimile. When the original scans were done, it appears that the pages were irregularly placed, and so often fairly good sized portions of the text were... More > cut off. This probably affects about 10 pages, most notably in James and Collosians. Given the quality of the original scans, this is a worthwhile facsimile. The producer of the volume notes the problems, so I knew to expect some problems and was not surpised. I am still glad I have it.
