"St Austin Plainsong Missal" What an excellent publication! For those of us used to the Burgess' "English Gradual" this will be a welcome production. It continues to use simple psalm melodies, but with more variety than the Burgess edition. One must also add that it is simply a beautiful book. It has many illustrations from the 1921 edition of the Missale Anglicanum. It feels like a true liturgical book from days long past. The only minor defect is that it does not contain the Mass itself, only the propers; otherwise it would be a perfect people's missal as well.
