This early Arthur Upfield book was published by Hutchison in 1930 and is unobtainable with even the Australian National Library copy missing. It was a pleasure to read this story by Upfield based on a lonely beach outside Dongara in Western Australia written in his usual easy to read style with easily visualised vivid descriptions of the Australian beach and bush. Its not a Bony book and not Upfield's best but it is a good easy read and has its place in Upfield's works and will be enjoyed by anyone who enjoys reading Arthur Upfield books. Quality hardback binding printed is a replication of the original work complete with advertisements at the back. Thank you Jan Howard Finder and LuLu for bringing this book back from oblivion.
