"Two thumbs up!"
It was the intentions of the author Roxanne Cottell to share with us the things she was blessed with. Through her book she did just that. She shared her pride, her poetry talent, and her aloha the best of many things. Once I began reading, I could not stop. Her words drew me in to each page. They embraced me, and with each line I wanted to read more. The thing I enjoyed, was through her writings, I could actually visualize the sunsets, the ohana aloha, the talking of the hands, the swaying of the hips, the pride, the Hermit crab and the Mynah bird.

What I love the most about this book is her meaning of "Aloha." Her simple definition is a description of every... More > single human being on this earth, and you don't have to be Hawai'ian to understand or relate to that aspect. Those paragraphs alone were captivating. Her words were strong enough to make me take a look at myself and question my unconditional “Aloha.”

I would recommend this book to everyone. The way the author’s stories and poetry entwined as one were perfect. Through her poems, you can clearly sense her brilliant creativity and love for writing. It is a book that will make a person take a look at themselves and re-evaluate where they are, and where they want to be.
Excellent, two thumbs up!

"Aloha!" I liked the style of this book. The vignettes and poems were short enough to read a completed piece each day and take a mental vacation with a glimpse of "Aloha."
