"One of the most awesome books I've ever read!" I'm not usually one for for sci-fi, I am generally more of a humorous romance or a soul searching realistic fiction. When I picked up Andrew Suzanne's book and started reading it changed my perspective on the genre entirely. Not only does he have a strong, individual writing style, Suzanne manages to create an entire world where you want to sink into the pages and not come back out. The character development was my favorite aspect of the book- I am a stickler for good characters!- the four main heroes fit together while remaining entirely individualized. This book is a wonderful read and will have you e-mailing Andrew Suzanne for the release date of the sequel!

"Recommended Read"
I heard about the Towers of Adrala and was hesitant and frankly not to open minded about reading the book. I had finished the Eragon series and had read the rave reviews but found it conventional. It borrowed heavily from former publications the names have been changed to protect the innocent. The title pretty well sums it up Eragon - Aragorn. Still I enjoyed reading the "prodigy'" Paolini's books. So here another prodigy rises and
we have the Towers that call to mind the influence of Tolkien again. But instead of 2 Towers Suzanne has 5 and a fellowship of 4, which thankfully are not Elven Kings.
But here in lies the difference between these two prodigies... More > Suzanne brings originality to the pages. Something not easily accomplished in this over written genre. The book's characters come of age, as I believe Suzanne does. The running dialogue between the characters is a developer of plot and character. This is a style I generally don't care for, especially with the dialogue spoken in a modern voice for a medieval time period or is it? Then comes the technology. Suzanne is artful in rationalizing the sci-fi of future tech and making it believable. He plays with morality issues, human whimsy, pain, and humor while also being demonstrated by some, not so human. I recommend the book and wait impatiently for the next. One note I would like to suggest for anyone purchasing the Towers of Adrala, allow leeway for a book not being published by the usual methods. It may be less polished than those overseen by a publishing editor. However, the talent is between the lines and I look to the promising reads that Mr. Suzanne has in store for us.
