Before being redeveloped in 2006, Crossley Hospital East lay empty and decaying for twenty-five years in the solitary woodland of Delamere in Cheshire, UK. Opened in 1905, the Edwardian hospital began life as a tuberculosis sanatorium, however its history tells a story of role changes and premature closures. Abandoned for twenty-five years between 1991 and 2006, Crossley Hospital East stood silenced – hidden away from the world. This book is a collective photographic documentary of the downfall of Crossley Hospital East.
