2257 & 2257A, labeled as "Child Pornography Legislation", would not seem to affect photographers of the adult figure, nude OR clothed. Think again, this legislation is aimed squarely at anyone who photographs an adult either explicitly or implicitly erotic (sexual contact or WHICH COULD BE INTERPRETED AS LASCIVIOUS). It affects you whether or not it is a commercial shot or even on your private hard drive (think about a repair person seeing it and reporting you to the FBI). This law is about record keeping, child porn producers won't keep any records but everybody else had better be familiar with the rules - it's potentially 5 years in jail for NOT KEEPING SPECIFIED RECORDS.
