"important book" It is a pity that such a book is necessary, but that it is so I have no doubt at all. There must be many young soldiers serving in Iraq as well as veterans in need of counselling and this book will be a first step to that, or perhaps an alternative in some cases. The need is all the greater as the intervention by the USA and Britain with other allies in Iraq has been, to put it mildly, controversial in the eyes of the rest of the world - and even as viewed by a large percentage of the American and British people. The huge number of civilian and military casualties is bound to lead to self-questioning and doubts among the military serving in that country, and such doubts can lead to mental discomfort and illness if not properly addressed.

"Soldiers Book" Being a combat soldier and a twenty year veteran, I find this book to be a valuable tool for our men and women of war. In the field their are no other help available but your buddies and this book is a great buddy to have in a time of need. Education is the first step to recovery and good mental health. I am graetful for the author of this book and I encourage our Defense Department and Military leaders on the local level to review this material and pass it on to our troops.

Sincerly,

"a timely self-help manual" So impressed am I with this book that I've forwarded the link to a friend, who herself suffers from ptsd. People can often help themselves if they only know where to begin. Just a glance at the Table of Contents tells me this book provides the guidance and workable solutions they need to start the healing process.

"Re: important book" Just a note to thank you for your kind review of my book, A Soldier's Pocket Therapist". I agree that this book will be beneficial to soldiers but the military refuses to believe there is a problem. I have even tried to give them the book for their soldiers and got the usual run around. Your note encouraged me to continue to pursuing the effort. I'm sure family members will see the need to send this to their loved ones and I am hoping I can get the word out.

Thanks again for your thoughtfulness
