"Amerika: A Timeless World" ******
This is a very unusual . I was intrigued by the thesis contained within it, i.e. that civilization began in the place known today as South America. There is no doubt about the role of South America in the history of the world. By this presentation, Hector Stone challenges the accepted view that the Fertile Crescent, in modern day Iraq, is the cradle of civilisation. It put me in mind of another book that I read recently called Uriel's Machine, I cannot at the moment recall the publisher or the author.
Of course, I personally lean towards this latter thesis that put the Celts, (Newgrange and Stonehenge)at the forefront of that first step towards civilisation!
There are many indeed who question whether those first steps have yet to be taken!
Certainly, Hector Stone has delved deep into the past to present this very interesting study.

"challenging material" I have not heard of Hector Burgos Stone or his ideas before, but this book is intriguing and makes me want to know more, especially as I was born in Peru!
