Reprint of the third, 1787 edition of An Appeal to the Common Sense of All Christian People, by William Hopkins (1706-1786). Includes an account of the author's life. In this book Hopkins argues for a view of the Trinity similar to that of Samuel Clarke (1675-1729). The first edition of the Appeal was published in 1753, and generated some controversy and printed rebuttals. This reprint bears the printing defects and markings of the original, but is readable throughout, and prints somewhat better than the preview above suggests.
