"Sequel to The Big One"
WW-II has ended with the nuclear destruction of Germany in 1947, but the land war continues on the Russian Front. Nations must decide how to realign their priorities to the new Postwar World. Sweeping from the grand (How does our country defend itself under the new way of things) to the sublime (how does a young female officer cadet move a two ton block of concrete with seven fellow cadets and a six pack of beer), Stuart Slade’s work shows a deep understanding of How Things Work, while maintaining a sense of personality and readability. Great characters. Great story lines.
