"Ask Mike" The "Ask Mike" newsletter includes wonderful ongoing instruction to entrepreneurs about the practicalities of growing a business...but to see all the "Ask Mike" items bound together is eye-opening, akin to seeing lots of diamonds grouped together and sparkling under bright lights. One appreciates anew how useful Mike's advice is. I predict that this book will serve as an ongoing reference guide for many entrepreneurs, now that they can access Mike's sage thinking in one well organized tome. No entrepreneur should be without this insightful and entertaining book.

"The voice of experience" Over the years that I've been Managing Director of a seed stage venture capital firm, when I sat on several boards of directors of venture backed companies, was CEO of two VC-backed companies, EIR at a venture capital firm, and now President of a bootstrap Internet based company, I have received Mike Gonnerman's straight forward, thoughtful advice in dozens of his email newsletters. I'm delighted that these jewels of wisdom are now available to all in the form of this tidy package, a book packed with essential -- and some start-up saving -- tips for entrepreneurs. I didn't always get to thank Mike for his newsletters over the years, so I'm glad for the chance to do so here: Thanks, Mike!

"ask mike" At the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network we recommend Mike Gonnerman and his book to startup entrepreneurs often. Theoretical knowledge is a good foundation, but at some point people also need the kind of practical guidance in a book like this. Very helpful for people getting into startup business for the first time.
