Traci Currie is a poet and spoken word artist who teaches an array of communication courses at the University of Michigan-Flint. She grew up in Wilmington, Delaware. She pursued graduate degrees in film and media with the desire to mix different forms of communication as a way of reaching the masses. As a Jamaican-American her short stories and poetry reference her upbringing to present day lived-experiences. Her literary work is both fiction and nonfiction.
