"Excellent advice, readable and inspiring!" I received this book after seeing Jared speak on this topic at a Boston Area "No Fluff Just Stuff" conference (attend one if you can - they're excellent). The book is a "deeper dive" into practical advice and stories about how to advance your career and keep it on track. I find it motivating to read some of the practical ideas, and find myself agreeing with all or most of the principals outlined.

It's never too "heavy" or impractical (IMHO), and the book lends itself to a more casual style of reading than a hardcore technical book.

Especially in a tough economy, it's more important than ever to nourish your own career; reading this book would be a great start.

I have been looking for something like this for a while, and enjoy any type of motivation book. I think if you believe in your goals you can really achieve anything you want. I left my job working in IT to start my own Affordable SEO Web Design company, and I have never looked back. I think with the current recession, this book can help heal an otherwise demotivated mind!

Excellent read! Although it is written for people with an IT background, the advice given is suitable for any field, and is a fantastic book on motivation. Too many people find themselves in middle age wondering where did it all go wrong? This book makes you pull up your socks and find a direction. As the other reviewers have said, this one should not be missed! Paul @ collar stiffeners

I work in the computer and technology field (which is what this book is designed to help with), so thought I would have a flick through it out of curiosty. I found it extremely useful, and I think a lot of the advice in there can be applied to people who work in a variety of different fields, not just technology.

"Interesting......!!!!!!!!!" A good blend of speculative and historical fiction. The characters are well drawn and engaging. Feels visual and I would like to see the movie. I am from the area and appreciated the level of research. I very much recommend it. Autozubehör
