I'm not old enough to remember Carl & Jerry from the original Popular Electronics run, but when I found some of these stories online I was hooked and knew I had to order this book. The only thing to watch out for is that Lulu.com defaults to an expensive overnight shipping option during the order process, so you may want to change that to USPS media mail and save a few bucks. I'm looking forward to the next volume!
I was hooked on Carl & Jerry with the very first story in the October 1954 issue of POPULAR ELECTRONICS. Even though their characters were a little older than I was at the time, I still identified with them, being of a similar mind about Amateur Radio and electronics in general.
I dropped my subscription to PE when I joined the Marine Corps in 1960, but those were stories that I remembered fondly.
And now they're back in these new books. Way to go!

"Five Stars to John T. Frye and Copperwood Press"
I read my first Carl & Jerry adventure in October 1954 when I was 8 years old. I always enjoyed the stories and learned a lot about electronics along the way. It seems the days of the home scientists are mostly a memory. I will be looking forward to each volume as it comes out just like waiting for each new issue of Popular Electronics.
"Great Reading"
I remember old popular electronic magazines in my dad's garage and reading some of these Carl and Jerry stories, so seeing their adventures again I had to get a copy. Great fun to read and educational, also the previous post is giving you a good tip, change the shipping option if you want to save a few dollars. The 2nd one is out and I have it ordered.....
