"A good read" While I was not struck with as much awe or admiration as some other reviewers, I thought this collection of poetry was very passionate, filled with wonderfully jarring images and earthy, concrete metaphors. Reads really well.

"Re: Re: "
I am very familiar with this artist and I have to admit that while I do enjoy some of her music, her new album seems to have her taking on a drastic change with her image. She is trying to look way too girly and not like her former image at all. It all seems contrived, as though her record label has forced her into this new look but hey, maybe she just watched too many Evanesence videos lately. Whatever the case, she certainly works hard to get involved in every cause imaginable and build her name so you gotta give her some credit. Her artwork is not my taste. It resembles something a small child would draw and is very ugly but some of her lyrics and poetry is actually very good.... More > I collect poetry books and I am going to check out the book and give it a fair chance. Hopefully there will be a few things that hold my attention and intrigue my senses but I fear she will just be filling the pages with more of her nonsense like ramblings which will be a turn off. I think she has it in her to be a great writer if she would just be a little more realistic instead of so over the top. There are a few really great girls in the heavy music scene and Otep has the potential to be one of them.

I've listened to Otep's music since I was 12. As soon as I heard she published two books I had to review them. She is really insperational, creative, and speaks to those of us who has been through similar expirences as her. I absolutely think you'd be crazy not to buy this book or Little Sins.
