Marjorie, I am alive and well thank you. I appreciate your heart-felt comments and relate to your struggle with the effects of scleroderma. It is difficult to accept and adjust oneself to the destructive progression of this disease. Years back I also was interested in the hyperbareic treatment for sores that would not heal and found it was not covered by insurance. Those treatments should be allowed for scleroderma-related wounds. Our wounds are similar to diabetic wounds that require special treatment. Thank you for reading my book and for your comments. I hope and pray you are doing well. Doris

I have Systemic Scleroderma with severe Raynauds. Reading Doris's book made me cry to hear of some one else going through the same symptums as I have!I'm a Licensed Practial Nurse, and I went from skilled nursing facilities to nursing homes to home health to 3 digital sympathectomies. I've had M.R.S.A., Efacales to deep- amputating itself, right index finger, and right big toe, opening up. I'm going to The Scleroderma Center in Georgetown Rheumatology, Washington D.C. soon. My weight has dropped to 80 lb.'s. A doctor told me HyperBareic Oxygen Treatment would heal my open ulcers, But Medicare doesn't cover it. I'd like to have the stem cell transplant, but how would I get it paid for?The digital sympatheictomies only last about 4 months then those finger's open up again. Is Doris Razo still alive? The book is excellant!
