"a must see photo journey" This is a unique book. If you have any interest in the Angkor Wat you will enjoy images you have yet to see. All very high quality.
If you were drawn to this book by the author's description then you are in for a treat. The authors intent was to share his journey and provide an emotional response. As if you were there.
This photo journal does just that. With over 90 shots it provides more detail and feeling then a shorter book done just to service the photographs.
After an enjoyable and brief introduction the pictures tell the story. One can go faster and view the whole journey at once. Or stop and be marveled by one work of art at a time. As if you were there.
The perfect binding holds up under repeated viewing quite well. Making it something you can go back to time and time again. A very reasonable repeat vacation.

"Transporting Perspective"
I started on the first page, pretty skeptical, and was soon struck by the enormity of this place, Angkor Wat (translated, City Temple). As the book progresses, you begin to see the many faces carved into the rocks and pause must be taken. Amazing.
It has taken me over a month to get to the end of this photo journal. Each picture captures the intensity and ability of the culture so adeptly that it can have you staring at a single picture for an hour. Like pictures of a forgotten war, the photographer captures the jungle trying to take back its land from the city and the monks who protect it still. Each picture clarifies the details so adeptly that you can... More > almost touch it.
These images will have you hooked, awed, entranced and inspired. I bought two copies of this book; one for my home and one that will hopefully travel around the world among my friends, so as many people as possible can share in the journey and gain the expanding knowledge of these images.
