Even I needed this book.
My understanding of the bible is heavily influenced by years of instruction. Really, I never felt any critical thinking was required. Much of that instruction was terribly lacking. Lo, did I miss out during my formative years. Since the days of Sunday school I have sought to understand my up-bringing personally. This brought me back to the church, which is good.

This book is a fascinating blend of theology and world politics. If you think science can answer all of todays problems look elsewhere. If you want to read a book that pulls themes from the Old Testament and applies them to current day world events you will enjoy this book.
