"Classic Movie Posters"
For such a limited niche market, there are a surprisingly large number of books currently available that reproduce the wonderfully colorful one-sheet posters and lobby cards that used to adorn our movie theaters. What I don't like about most of these books, however, is that, despite excellent printing, the posters are often crowded five or six to a page. In my opinion, this over-crowding lessens the impact of the individual posters. In my book, I have spread 204 posters over 166 pages. No more than two posters are printed on a page. Most posters, in fact, occupy a page all to themselves. The posters have been drawn from three of the world's finest private... More > collections. Many of them are one-of-a-kind originals that have never appeared in other books or printed catalogs. I've also provided a description of each poster, mostly just a few words or a few lines, but in one case I have written a whole page warning fellow collectors against buying a particular type of poster, because of my serious reservations as to its actual monetary value (if any). < Less
